Federation 9 - Flacq and Bon Accueil
OBJECTIVE
The Managing Committee (the “MC”) of Mauritius Arya RaviVed Pracharini Sabha (“MARVPS”) has established an Arya Ravi Ved Pracharini Sabha (“ARVPS”) Federation in constituency No.9 and does thereby adopt this term of reference to formally set forth its authority, responsibilities and specific duties. The main objective of setting up this Federation Number 9 is to consolidate the presence of MARVPS in the Constituency, and fashion a vibrant image of the Raviveds on the national front.
The MARVPS Federation number 9 is made up of the main village of Centre de Flacq with some adjacent village like Bon Acceuil, Belle Mare and Lallmatie.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
The responsibilities include the following but are not exhaustive:
1. Conduct regular (at least once a month) meetings (at different shakhas in the constituency as far as possible) and report to MC on the status of the affairs of the Shakha on a monthly basis;
2. Prepare a common plan of events (e.g. Rishi Bodh Utsav; Shravan Mass;…) involving all the Shakhas (that will be held in any Shakha in the constituency) and submit to MC for approval. Same will be available on our website and communicated to all members through various platforms;
3. Build strong ties, unite the community and empower all MARVPS members;
4. Organise the events after securing approval from MC;
5. Prepare a rotation plan for the purohits and submit to MC for approval;
6. Ensure that the rotation plan is being implemented effectively;
7. Devise and implement a protocol to share resources among the Shakhas, and ensure that all members (youngsters, women,…) can use them to organize the activities;
8. Prepare a renovation plan for the Shakhas and submit to MC for discussion and approval;
9. Monitor the renovation activities;
10. Carry out regular visits to the Shakhas;
11. Maintain an up-to-date database of members in the Shakhas;
12. Carry out campaign to recruit new members;
13. Provide full support to all the activities approved by the MC (e.g. the activities being organized by the Health and Wellness Committee; Mahila Samaj; Purohit Mandal;…);
14. Update the page on ARVPS Federation on the website of the matri sabha on at least a monthly basis;
15. Provide training in management and administration to heads of Shakhas;
16. Any other duties as may be assigned.
REPORTING
The Federation meets on a regular basis and may call additional meetings as required. Minutes of the meeting are required to be prepared so that the MC members are fully aware of all activities discussed and planned. The policies and procedures will be reviewed periodically as and when deem necessary by the MC.
